UOI #5 Dónde nos encontramos en tiempo y espacio

Los estudiantes de grado primero elaboraron la maqueta de cada uno de sus barrios, ubicando en ella los lugares más importantes como: el parque, el supermercado, el restaurante, la estación de gas, entre otras, luego, usando una brújula, ubicaron el norte, el sur, el este y oeste de cada uno de los lugares del barrio.

Los niños tuvieron la oportunidad de ampliar el vocabulario en segunda lengua, aprendiendo nuevos lugares de su vecindario.  Fue una actividad muy divertida ya que los estudiantes desarrollaron agencia durante la elaboración y presentación de sus trabajos.

First-grade students built a model of each one of their neighborhoods, locating the most important places within them, such as the park, the supermarket, the restaurant, the gas station, and others. Then, using a compass rose, they located the north, south, east, and west directions of each of the neighborhood’s locations. The students expanded their second language vocabulary by learning new places in their neighborhood. It was a very fun activity, and the students developed agency while creating and presenting their work.
