Orange Lab. Mapping the world

Fourth graders had the opportunity to learn about different ways to communicate ideas and knowledge. They had the role of scientist and made an experience to understand what a map is, how it can be done and the reason why it represents a different kind of language, as well as they practice the scientific method to express their learnings. Using an orange, the students discovered the problems people have to represent places exactly as they are.

Los estudiantes de grado cuarto tuvieron la oportunidad de aprender sobre diferentes maneras de comunicar ideas y conocimiento. Los niños tenían el rol de científicos y realizaron una experiencia para comprender qué es un mapa, cómo se realiza y las razones por las que este representa otra forma de lenguaje, así como también practicaron el método científico para expresar sus aprendizajes. Usando una naranja los estudiantes descubrieron los problemas que las personas enfrentan al representar los lugares exactamente como son.
