Izada de bandera – Grado 7o 7th grade Flag raising ceremony

Los estudiantes de séptimo grado tuvieron la oportunidad de organizar la izada correspondiente al mes de mayo. El valor a destacar en esta oportunidad fue el del cuidado de sí mismo y de su entorno, valor que debe permear no solo en la vida escolar, sino en la vida familiar y personal. Se hizo el reconocimiento a los docentes del Colegio Mayor de los Andes por la bella labor de enseñar y formar, además, se resaltó el quehacer desempeñado por el funcionario Enrique Pachón, quien mantiene el cuidado de la granja escolar; este reconocimiento se enmarcó a través de una reflexión que exalta el trabajo docente por parte de los estudiantes Juan David Cardozo y Salomé Merizalde. Uniéndose a este homenaje, los estudiantes de séptimo grado representaron una danza con la interpretación musical por parte de los docentes del colegio. En el evento contamos con la presencia de un invitado especial, César Peralt,a quien nos compartió cómo su descendencia afro fue punto de partida para sus expresiones artísticas, resaltando que las comunidades afro como pueblo, hoy en día hacen parte de la diversidad étnica y cultural del país con derechos colectivos.Cabe destacar el compromiso, participación e interés por parte de los estudiantes en esta actividad.

Seventh grade students had the opportunity to responsibly organize and assume the flag-raising ceremony corresponding to this month. The value to be highlighted on this occasion was caring for oneself and one’s environment, a value that must permeate not only in school life, but also in family and personal life. Recognition was made to the teachers of the Colegio Mayor de los Andes for the beautiful work of teaching and educating, in addition, to highlight the work performed by Enrique Pachón, the person in charge of the school´s farm; This recognition was framed through a reflection that exalts the teaching work of the students Juan David Cardozo and Salomé Merizalde. Joining this tribute, the seventh grade students represented a dance with musical interpretation by the school teachers. We also had a special guest, César Peralta, who shared with the audience how his Afro origins were the starting point for his artistic expressions. He highlighted that Afro communities, as a people today, are part of the ethnic and cultural diversity of the country with collective rights. The commitment, participation and interest on behalf of the students, really stood out in this activity.
