How does technology impact the music?

Students in 5th grade participate in a conversation around the question: How does technology impact the music?. In that activity, the class had an approximation to some of the most important devices that have changed the way people get the music.

The phonograph with wax cylinders, the  vinyl (LP), the Tape (or cassette), the Walkman, the CD and, later, the computers were important inventions in the music industry. With the streaming system, we got access to all the music on earth.

Students brought some ideas to the conversation and provided personal opinions around this interesting topic. Some of them presented objects related to the conversation to the class. Some students introduced a new idea: also, the sound of the music has changed with electric instruments and also with  music made using computer systems.

Los estudiantes de 5° participaron en una conversación alrededor del tema: ¿Cómo afecta la tecnología a la música? En esta actividad, los niños tuvieron un acercamiento a algunos de los más importantes inventos en la industria de la música y la manera como las personas pueden tener acceso a ella.

El fonógrafo, el vinilo, el cassette, el walkman, el CD y el computador, fueron inventos muy importantes en la industria de la música. Con la llegada del streaming, ahora tenemos acceso a toda la música sin comprar cada álbum.

Los estudiantes dieron nuevas ideas y opiniones personales sobre este interesante tema. Algunos complementaron la conversación con la idea de que la tecnología también ha cambiado el sonido de la música con el uso de los instrumentos eléctricos y la música hecha usando sistemas de computación.
