Flag raising ceremony 1C – 1D
El pasado martes 12 de mayo se llevó a cabo la izada de bandera organizada por los cursos Primero C y Primero D. Durante la jornada se conmemoraron el Día de la Madre, el Día del Maestro y la Afrocolombianidad, promoviendo además la reflexión en torno al valor del mes y al perfil IB: la solidaridad, destacando la importancia de actuar con empatía, respeto y compromiso hacia los demás.
Asimismo, se realizó un reconocimiento especial a Amanda Cristancho por su valiosa labor y dedicación, así como a Iris Denis Guevara, quien se destacó por su excelente participación en las Olimpiadas Matemáticas.
Los estudiantes también llenaron el escenario de alegría y entusiasmo con la presentación de un baile de ritmos latinos y una canción rítmica. Este espacio permitió evidenciar la agencia estudiantil, ya que asumieron con responsabilidad y compromiso cada uno de sus roles dentro de la izada de bandera, fortaleciendo su confianza, autonomía y participación activa en la vida escolar.

On Tuesday, May 12th, a flag-raising ceremony organized by First Grade C and D took place.
During the event, Mother’s Day, Teacher’s Day, and Afro-Colombian Heritage Day were commemorated. The ceremony also encouraged reflection on the value of the month and the IB Learner Profile attribute Caring, highlighting the importance of acting with empathy, respect, and commitment toward others.
In addition, special recognition was given to Amanda Cristancho for her valuable work and dedication, as well as to Iris Denis Guevara, who stood out for her excellent participation in the Math Olympics.
The students also filled the stage with joy and enthusiasm through a Latin dance performance and a rhythmic song. This event showcased the students’ sense of agency, as they carried out each of their roles during the ceremony with responsibility and commitment, strengthening their confidence, autonomy, and active participation in school life.
