Apertura Unidad #5: Un viaje por el mundo
Los estudiantes de primero dieron inicio a la Unidad de Indagación #5: “Dónde nos encontramos en el tiempo y el espacio” con una experiencia muy especial. Durante dos días, los niños realizaron un viaje experiencial alrededor del mundo. Con sus maletas y atuendos de viajeros, exploraron diferentes culturas visitando cuatro destinos: Japón, Egipto, Estados Unidos y Arabia Saudita.
En cada parada, los estudiantes ingresaron a un salón ambientado con elementos representativos de cada país. Allí observaron, hicieron preguntas, compartieron ideas y descubrieron características de las diferentes culturas.
Esta actividad despertó gran curiosidad, entusiasmo y espíritu explorador, permitiendo que los estudiantes iniciaran la unidad comprendiendo que el mundo está lleno de diversidad cultural y que todas las culturas aportan a nuestra manera de ver y entender el mundo.

Opening of Unit #5: A Journey Around the World
First-grade students began Unit of Inquiry #5: “Where We Are in Place and Time” with a very special experience.
For two days, the children went on an experiential journey around the world. With their suitcases and traveler outfits, they explored different cultures by visiting four destinations: Japan, Egypt, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.
At each stop, students entered a classroom decorated with representative elements from each country. There, they observed, asked questions, shared ideas, and discovered characteristics of different cultures.
This activity sparked great curiosity, enthusiasm, and an explorer’s spirit, allowing students to begin the unit understanding that the world is full of cultural diversity and that every culture contributes to the way we see and understand the world.
