Apertura de unidad de indagación # 4 – Quiénes somos

La unidad de indagación N.° 4, titulada “Quiénes somos”, invitó a los estudiantes de quinto  a reflexionar sobre lo que nos hace únicos como individuos y comunidades. Como parte de esta exploración, se diseñó un colorido mural con diversas categorías relacionadas con emociones, creencias religiosas, valores y más, en la que los niños eligieron libremente la que más les llamó la atención. El ejercicio fue un espacio de respeto y aprendizaje, en el que los estudiantes practicaron atributos clave del perfil de la comunidad IB, como ser de mentalidad abierta, al aceptar y valorar las elecciones y perspectivas de los demás sin emitir juicios; ser reflexivos, al considerar sus propias identidades y emociones; y ser comunicadores, al expresar sus ideas de manera respetuosa y auténtica.

Unit of Inquiry #4, titled “Who we are,” invited fifth graders to reflect on what makes us unique as individuals and communities. As part of this exploration, a colorful mural was designed with various categories related to emotions, religious beliefs, values, and more, where children freely chose the one that caught their attention the most. The exercise was a space for respect and learning, in which students practiced key attributes of the IB community profile, such as being open-minded, by accepting and valuing the choices and perspectives of others without judgment; being reflective, by considering their own identities and emotions; and being communicative, by expressing their ideas in a respectful and authentic way.
