Actividad de Apertura de la Unidad # 2 KA-KB: “Cómo nos expresamos”

Los estudiantes de los grados Jardín A y Jardín B, participaron en la actividad provocadora de la segunda unidad de indagación del programa PEP, titulada “Cómo nos expresamos”. Para dar inicio a esta unidad, las docentes de ambos grados se personificaron como palenqueras.

Durante la actividad, los niños tuvieron la oportunidad de compartir sus conocimientos previos con sus compañeros, enriqueciendo la experiencia colectiva y aprendiendo sobre las diferentes formas en que las personas se expresan a través de la cultura, la música y el arte.

Esta actividad permitió que los estudiantes se conectaran de manera más profunda con el tema de la unidad, entendiendo cómo las tradiciones culturales y las expresiones artísticas son formas de comunicación que enriquecen la diversidad.

The students of Kindergarten A and Kindergarten B took part in the provocative activity of the second inquiry unit of the PYP program, titled “How We Express Ourselves.” To begin this unit, the teachers from both grades dressed up as palenqueras, traditional fruit sellers from the Caribbean region of Colombia.

During the activity, the children had the opportunity to share their prior knowledge with their peers, enriching the collective experience and learning about the different ways people express themselves through culture, music, and art.

This activity allowed the students to connect more deeply with the unit’s theme, understanding how cultural traditions and artistic expressions are forms of communication that enrich diversity. 

What a wonderful way to start this new unit!
